Replacement parts for ITT Standard heat exchangers
Tube bundles, gaskets, zinc anodes, and bonnets for current and legacy models.
A heat exchanger rarely needs to be replaced all at once. Tube bundles, gaskets, zinc anodes, and end bonnets cover most failures and scheduled maintenance — and parts for ITT Standard and American Standard nameplates are still available through the current Standard Xchange line. Southgate Process Equipment, an authorized Standard Xchange distributor for more than 25 years, keeps a large inventory of spare parts on hand for quick delivery.
Coverage spans current models — BCF, SSCF, and SX2000 shell & tube units, plus Plateflow plate & frame — and the legacy nameplates that preceded them. Whether your unit is down right now or you're planning next quarter's outage, the path is the same: send your nameplate details and get a quote with confirmed availability.
Replacement tube bundles for shell & tube units
A failed bundle doesn't have to mean a new exchanger. If your shell is sound, a rebundle keeps your installed footprint, piping, and mounting untouched — and on larger units it can cost significantly less than a complete replacement.
- U-tube and removable-bundle designs — replacement bundles quoted from your nameplate data.
- Fixed-tubesheet units — where a bundle swap isn't economical, you'll get a complete-unit quote instead.
- Rebundle vs. replace — your quote shows both numbers, so the decision is based on cost, not guesswork.
Heat exchanger gaskets for shell & tube and Plateflow units
Gasket kits are model-specific. The model designation and size code on your nameplate determine the kit; your service conditions confirm the material.
- Bonnet and tubesheet gaskets for current and legacy shell & tube models.
- Plate gaskets in NBR and EPDM for Plateflow gasketed plate & frame units.
- Not sure which compound you need? Include your fluids and operating temperatures with the quote request, and the right material comes back with the quote.
Zinc anodes for waterside protection
Sacrificial zincs protect copper-alloy waterside components from galvanic corrosion, especially in marine and raw-water service. A consumed zinc is the cheapest insurance you'll ever skip — replace on schedule, not after the tubesheet pits.
- Zincs for current and legacy shell & tube models.
- Order them alongside gasket kits so one shipment covers your full service interval.
End bonnets and hardware
Cast iron and bronze end bonnets, bolting, and miscellaneous hardware for current and many legacy models. The right bonnet off the shelf is often the difference between a straightforward repair and a fabricated workaround.
How to identify the right replacement part
Everything keys off your nameplate: model designation, size code, pass count, and serial number.
- Snap a phone photo of the nameplate — that's enough to identify your unit and quote parts, including units that left the catalog decades ago.
- Nameplate gone? Your unit's measurements and connection details usually do it; the manuals page shows what to look for.
- Unit down? Say so in your request. Stock items ship immediately, and the quote confirms what's on the shelf.
Request a parts quote with your nameplate photo attached, or call (770) 345-0010 and read the nameplate over the phone.
Repair or replace your heat exchanger?
Rule of thumb: if the shell is sound and the unit is large, rebundle or regasket. If it's a small fixed-tubesheet unit (most BCF sizes), a complete replacement is often cheaper than the labor of a repair. Either way, you'll get both quotes and a straight recommendation — not a push toward the bigger ticket.
Heat exchanger parts FAQ
- Should I replace the tube bundle or the whole heat exchanger?
- Check three things: shell condition, unit size, and labor cost. A sound shell on a larger unit favors a rebundle; a small fixed-tubesheet unit usually favors complete replacement, because the repair labor outruns the price of a new exchanger. Your quote shows both options priced side by side.
- Do you have parts for American Standard heat exchangers?
- Usually, yes. The model lineage continued through ITT Standard into today's Standard Xchange line, so parts interchange more often than you'd expect.
- How do I know which gasket material my unit needs?
- The nameplate's model and size code identify the kit, and your service conditions — fluids and temperatures — confirm the compound. NBR and EPDM cover most Plateflow applications. Send both details with your quote request.
- How often should zinc anodes be replaced?
- There's no universal interval. Water chemistry, temperature, and flow rate drive consumption, so pull a zinc at your next scheduled inspection — how much remains tells you the right replacement cycle for your service.
- How fast can parts ship?
- Stock items ship immediately; factory items depend on the model. Your quote includes the confirmed lead time, so there's no guessing.
- Can you identify my unit from a photo?
- Yes. A clear nameplate photo is the fastest path to the right part. Use the quote form below.
Need a replacement or a cross-reference?
Send us what's on your nameplate — model and serial number — and we'll match it to the current Standard Xchange equivalent, check stock, and quote it. Most stock units ship fast.
